True40 classes are a unique mixture of cardio bursts, controlled movements, and dynamic stretching. Each class is designed with you in mind: low-impact and high-powered, welcoming for every BODY. Our certified instructors lead with contagious energy, while helping you to deepen your mind-body-spirit connection.

THE BREAKDOWN

THE WORKOUT

Our program is thoughtfully executed to work opposing muscle groups, therefore leaving you each class with a more balanced body.
By taking classes consistently, you will notice an increase in your leg, arm and core strength, tightening and lifting in your glutes, and an improvement in your overall posture and balance.
We start every class with a sweat inducing warmup. WHY? Dynamic, aerobic movements safely warm up your muscles, rev your heart rate, and help maintain that intensity throughout class.
Core work is the foundation and our main focus throughout class. We strive to help you create awareness in your body, find control in your movements and achieve a greater mind-body connection.
When in class, you’ll hear us say, “find those shakes!” Those shakes come when you combine 1-inch movements and isometric holds in postures. This safely builds elasticity and strength in the muscles.

WHY WE ARE DIFFERENT

Our class isn’t your typical barre class. Small range movements are highly effective, but without large movements you may miss out on building functional strength and cardiovascular endurance.

 

We use TRX straps, fitballs, weights, and gliders to give you countless combinations of resistance exercises to keep your muscles guessing. This continues the burn long after you leave the studio.

 

Everyone loves booty work, and so do we! Not only does it lift your seat and increase stability, it helps decrease back pain and lowers the risk of injuring your knees and ankles.

 

We end class with the lights down, refocusing our minds and stretching our bodies to find complete balance: mind-body-spirit.

IS THIS WORKOUT FOR ME?

Our workouts were created to be safe and correct on the body. Endorsed by physical therapists, classes yield a combination of low-impact strengthening and stretching, developed alongside exercise science research.  

I HAVE AN INJURY

Oh no, we are so sorry! When returning to exercise post-injury, we advise that you consult with your doctor first to make sure fitness is the appropriate step for recovery. Before class, tell the instructor of your injury so they can prepare you with modifications. Our certified instructors provide modifications, as well as challenges, for all exercises throughout class.

I HAVEN’T WORKED OUT IN A LONG TIME

That’s okay! We understand that each body is unique and want to cater to every BODY. Our workouts are low-impact and high-powered allowing True40 to be applicable to any fitness level. Remember to always listen to your body and stay true to you.

I’M PREGNANT

A growing family, so exciting! Before exercise, we encourage conversations with your physician to ensure that fitness is the next best step for you. Make sure to let your instructor know so they can offer modifications to keep your baby and body safe.

I JUST HAD A BABY

Congrats! We suggest speaking with your physician before returning to exercise. Classes are a safe and effective way to “bounce back” post baby. The healing process takes time so we encourage you to be patient and stay true to you as you continue to work and regain strength.
We also offer childcare for many classes on our schedule so you can come #shakesweatburn and let the little ones play.

WHAT TO EXPECT

True40 is for everyone – regardless of body type or fitness level. Our skilled instructors are trained to provide modifications to meet your body’s specific needs. Please arrive 15 minutes before class to fill out our new client forms and to meet your instructor! To ensure comfort, we suggest wearing workout clothes that you can bend and stretch in. Sticky socks are required and are available for purchase in the studio boutique. We suggest bringing a bottle of water with you. If you forget, no sweat! We have water bottles available for purchase and provide complimentary hand towels.
